Hard Disk OEM Help

Hey everyone, I'd like to think I'm computer savvy but whenever I touch on the subject of moving hard drives between PC's I fall down.

The problem:

Two computers, a shop built OEM PC, and a new PC I built.

I have transferred the HDD from the original PC into the new PC and obviously blue screened due to conflicting hardware. My question is upon backing up the drive and reinstalling Windows, will the disc that came with the original pre built PC work or will I need to buy a new disc?

Its not the disc that won't work, its the licence, An OEM licence matches itself to a motherboard so you old/current install only works with current motherboard. You need to buy a new licence

As long as you have a new license for the new build, it should work. You can't use the license from the other PC though. MS is out to get your $ whatever you do.

OEM license is tied to the motherboard on the prebuilt , you need a new key for your new PC.
