hello, since the summer came i have problem with the temperature of my hard disks. they are 1863GB ATA WDC WD20EURS-63S SCSI Disk Device (SATA) they have been running at 55-56 oC when im using the pc (gaming or rendering etc)and 38-45 when idle and i dont have a solution like air condition in the room or a fan for them.
I am using Speccy to watch their temperature and they are working fine, no lags, no delays just the temperature in red and im just afraid.
I was just wondering what are the safe temperatures for the specific hard disks. i googled and i found that 60 oC is the maximum operating temperature for most of the hard disks but i cant find anything about mine so i would be greateful if anyone could tell me the exact max temperature these disks can operate without the fear of them dying suddenly. thanks in advance looking forward to your reply :)

Solution
55-56c is pretty warm for ANY HDD regardless of your HDD model. 40s is optimal. Over 60 is bad. That said, 55c is usually "acceptable" but it could also impact the life of the drive, especially if that's idle temp and its going higher when performing reads and writes.

So, like salerhino said, try to get a fan on your HDD(s), preferably pulling air from outside your case.

No, thankfully the idle temp is around 39 c. Okay thank you guys. I will definately do that when I can, but since I cannot do that in the near future, and i mentioned that above, i was just interested in a precise temp cap the disks can operate without the fear of failing
