Hey there, tanishq sagar!

I suspect a file system corruption if you've accidentally disconnected it while transferring data.
I'd suggest you to check Disk Management on your computer and see if the HDD is detected there. ( http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/disk-management-windows-8.htm )
Another thing you should do is use your external HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool to test the drive's health and check up on the S.M.A.R.T. status. When transfer got interrupted, it could have done some damage on the drive as well. So better check that one as well.

Keep me posted with the results.

Hey there again, tanishq sagar!

It seems like the partitions got lost. Do you have any important data on the external drive?
If you have a backup of the files stored on the external, it seems like all you need to do is simply initialize and the partition and format the drive again. However, once you do that the drive will be wiped clean and ready for use.
How to initialize your HDD: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=ftyekT
How to partition & format it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=CpJHJ7

If you still want to retrieve your data, you could attempt using a third-party recovery tool (at your own risk though). Here's a thread you might find useful: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2749075/data-recovery-formated-hdd.html

Hope these help you! Keep me posted! :)
