Hard disk problem?

Hi. I just wanted to install a new windows on my pc because my last windows crashed. I actually think its because my Hard Disk. (Hdd series) . I troed to install a new and it took over 20 Hours. And when the windows installed. I login for the first time abd again it crashed. Im going to buy a new hard disk. I just wanna be sure of q thing : is it my hard problem? Or sth else? In most cases its the hard problem according to my experience and knowledge. But i wanna be sure. Appreciated for u answers. Best regards.... KHD

20 hours is a long time for windows to install but it may be something else in your computer too. if you can list your computers specs (including what version of windows it is) it will help us give you a better answer.

if drive is failing it goes slower each operation it takes. It might be why it took 20h to install it.

Try out live pendrive first. like ubuntu and browse internet for a while. if HDD was not an issue here(or windows on it), it will work just fine.

this is mostly the reason why i requested the OP to list their PC specs. for all we know the PC they are using may be old enough that a windows install could possibly take this long

in the same time did you try to use another sata cable from hdd to board even another slot on the board .
