Hard disk sata to ide converter

Hello,
i have a seagate 500gb hard drive in my desktop.
and now its not showing in bios . what should i do

If it is not showing in BIOS then it is one of three things; connection problem cables data/power, disabled controller in BIOS or failed/broken drive.

i had changed sata data and power cable and the drive is not broken but don't know how to enable ( disabled controller in BIOS or failed ) and ide hard drive is working while sata to ide converter is also not working what can i do is the drive dumped.
