I have 2tb seagate hard disk.. i was copying 3 seasons ( almost 10gb) from hard disk to the computer... and simultaneously i was watching a show from hard disk.... but the system hanged... i tried canceling copying.. but it got worse.. i wasn't able to eject the harddisk.. so i removed it directly without ejecting... but when i again plugged in the hd it is suppose to pop up on screen and show the hd in the right corner... the hd is not recognised by my pc..hd is visible in drive manager but not in my computer and doesn't show up in the right corner... what should I do.. help me..I'm using windows 7

Hi there pkpkc458,

That is unpleasant. 🙁

This is an external drive right?
Do you have some important data stored on the drive?

You can go to Disk Management and see how is the drive recognized over there. In case it has damaged partitions and/or file system, you will need to use some data recovery tool in order to retrieve the data.
After that, you can test the drive and see if it is in a healthy state: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Let me know how this goes,
