Hard Drive acting weird and need my files!

I have a hard drive on my pc and first the fan was being very loud i know its bad but i left it, after a while the pc randomly shut down for no reason and it got worst. I went out and see whats wrong with it and the hard drive is broke and i need all my files on it, how can i do this?

If I could plug a suspicious drive into another computer, I might get an idea of how bad it was PLUS, if it was at all functional, I'd copy off the needed files to that other computer.
