Hard drive activity light

I think its the hard drive activity light, it's right above the power button on my case, but anyway, after replacing my cpu and motherboard the light has went from what it was before was green and it has now turned red, what could this mean?

That's most likely the power-on indicator, not the HDD activity lamp, and it could be caused by insufficient power. Check all the PSU connections are correct (especially the main connector to the motherboard. If that all checks out okay, try a new PSU.

Thought it might be a psu problem cause I have some cheap 650w psu, going to order a 750w corsair soon, will reply back here when I try it out to see if it sorts my problem, thanks for the answer
