Hard drive and optical drive not presenrt in bios

i just finished my build and booted up the machine.
in the bios im not seeing my hard drive or cd drive listed.

i have a MSI B150 mobo
im new to bulding not sure if i connected the drives correctly if thats possibe?

Hey there, zerg lurkin!

I'd recommend you reseat the connections inside your PC rig and make sure everything is mounted properly. Another thing that might help you recognize the SATA devices connected to the mobo is resetting BIOS .

If none of these help you, you should try using different SATA cables and attempt plugging the drives with those instead. You might also want to check the motherboard manufacturer's website and make sure you have the latest SATA controller & Chipset drivers for your model.
