Hard drive becomes raw after formatting

I got a problem today on my hard disk.I had 5 partitions on my hard drive and in "i partition" that is 120gb that i was clearing the hard drive space to install gta v,then after deleting all files from "i partition" i got some 331mb left so then i thought why 331mb showing so i format the drive and after formatting it becomes raw what is the problem why is it showing raw and i don't want to recovery files just i want the drive back so i can use, please help me.

Hi

It would help to know windows version?
And hard drive make and model?

Normally a corrupted drive ( partition) shows as raw and is fixed by formatting
Formatting seems not to have worked
Try again from disk management and un tick quick format Watch for any error messages

If this does not work find some hard disk manufacturers bootable diagnostic program to test hard drive for bad sectors

Os windows 7
dont know the model no because its inside the case so i can't see right now,But you told that go to disk management and format it, so i am trying that now but under quick format there is some compress disk space should i tick or untick ,and in allocation what should we give default or 4096 bytes.

After formatting from disk management on 100% shows the format did not complete successfully and its raw what to do now any other solution.
