Question Hard drive compression

I compressed my hard drive to see how much space it would save. It wasn't much, so I uncompressed it, but now I am experiencing some issues with certain programs on my PC. Discord, for example, as well as games on steam aren't able to be opened. Is there a tool I should use to try and fix my PC?

Any help is appreciated.

what did you use the compress? just the windows build in function?

I right clicked my C drive and went to properties, and then clicked "compress this drive to save disk space"
