Hey guys ,
I moved my hard drive and ssd to a DIY base that I did ( The hard drive rests , with its mounting bracket for the orignila hard drive cage , on two long feet that attach to the case , and the sdd rest on two smaller feet that attach to the hard drive and the feet are made of cardboard and electrical tape ) . I applied some pressure to the hard drives center and right to make it stick to the adhesive I used , and since then there is that very very high pitched mechanical rattling sound .
NOT the kind of sound that hard drives make before they die , something like an old CRT TV's irradiation ( sorry google translated that one 😛 ) high pitched background sound .
Any thoughts on what caused this sound , and how to get rid of it ? I don;t think that my hdd is severely damaged though , read/writes are at their peak , as always ans temperature hovers around 21 degrees C after 10 minutes of writing this .
feel free to ask any question .
thank you in advance ,
