So I just opened my pc. Then there's a notif that hard drive failed not exactly sure what it said. After some percentage (0% -100%) not sure what was that I'm too sleepy to remember, then it restarted. Is there anything I can use to check if I need to return it and use the warranty. I've only had this for 3wks or so.

It's a WD Digital Blue 1 TB 7200 rpm

Solution
if it is still working then check health of it as Ubrales said with HD tune , the drive may still be ok
It should not matter which port you have it plugged into if unsure check your mobo manual as to sata ports for HDD

Hey.. Actually its still working. Should I still RMA it? And I have a question about the SATA ports since ur here.. I have my ssd on sata3 and hdd on sata5 does it really matter where I put it?

Regarding SATA ports; depending on the motherboard, there may be SATA II and some SATA III ports. Make sure you plug in SATA III devices into SATA III ports in order to take full advantage of the SAT III speeds. (SATA III devices will still work in SATA II ports).

FYI, SATA 0 has the highest priority. After that SATA 1, 2, 3, etc.

They're all SATA3 ( Sata3_0... Sata3_5). And will I lose files if I move it to a different port. I've connected my ssd to Sata3_3 and hdd to 3_5

Since they are all SATA III there will be no speed problems. You can connect to whichever SATA III port that you like.

ok thanks 😀
