Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. :(

You need to back up all the data stored on it as soon as possible.
After that, you can try attaching the drive with different cables. In case the issue persists, you can test the drive with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool.
Is the HDD under warranty? In case it is, you can contact WD's Support and eventually RMA the drive.

i ran that test and it checked out ok, as i said it only makes buzzing sounds when reading/writing large files
