I'd recommend you to test your drive using the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool as it would be much more accurate about the health and most importantly the SMART data status of the drive. You should be able to find this testing utility on their website.
While at it, you can search for a knowledge base or hard drive's model to find instructions on how to upgrade the firmware. Be careful with this procedure though, because if the process is interrupted you could corrupt the HDD.
