So I booted up my PC and as soon as windows started it made a really hard grinding noise. I turned off my PC and turned it back on and it's gone. I looked around and people said it was normal and this was the first time I heard it, so am I okay? 😛
if your real sure its the harddrive I don't see were noise from it is good but it may run forever or 2 more hrs. it depends on how you feel about it .. depends on what a person wants for peace of mind . but lets hope its just a case fan
If you heard a "grinding" noise, and your PC still works, perhaps you've got some fan bearings going bad. Hard drives may be audible when they seek, but it should not be a "grinding."
Check your fans (including on your graphics card, assuming there is one) and make sure they are all running normally, and are easy to turn by hand when the PC is off.

The GPU is running fine and the back computer fans seem to be running. I opened MSI after burner and the fans speed was moving up and down which meant they were running.
