So i have a 300 GB Diamondmax 10 6l300r0 hard drive, the label says its a "PATA 133 HDD" and i purchased an external enclosure,

I have formatted and partioned the drive with MaxBlast 4. the drive shows up under the device manager, whether im using usb or firewire... firewire shows up as a hard drive, usb shows up as a "mass storage device" but neither actually shows up under my computer as a hdd! does anyone know a possible solution to this problem?
