Hard drive hp pavilion

Hi. One of the wired from this piece of thing that connects from my motherboard to hard drive broke:

Now my laptop can't read the hard drive so I was wondering what is the name of it. So I can buy another one on Amazon.

Take a look at the following link. It is called an "hdd drive cable". You'll need to do some research for the exact Pavilion model # you have to determine which one you need.

Not sure you can find it on Amazon, but you can get it from HP Support. It's called a "Hard Drive Connector Cable" in my Pavilion G7 manual.

Thanks guys. But the model # has faded out on the plastic wrapper. I guess I'd have to try and find the most similar one.

If you can find a serial number outside (back or bottom) or inside the case you may be able to cross reference it to a model number on the HP support site.
