Question Hard drive installation problem

I currently run a ryzen 5 3400G on a x570 i aorus pro wifi. I have a 500gb ssd which the computer boots from no issues but have recently bought a 500gb hard drive just for extra storage however, when I have it all plugged in and turn my pc on, my pc gets stuck on the ''aorus'' screen and i cant do anything.The mouse and keyboard wont work and i cant even get into the BIOS. I have tried different SATA ports but it still wont work. I can hear the hard drive fire up so i know its working but i cant get the pc to run if the hard drive is plugged into the motherboard.

Ryzen 5 3400 G, x570 i aorus pro wifi, PSU corsair cx500, 2x8gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200mhz, crucial mx500 gb ssd. windows 10 OS. and the new hard drive is just a 500gb seagate. I put my PC together about 3-4 weeks ago, have had no issues until trying to hook up the hard drive. works fine whenever i unplug it so just left it unhooked now.
