hard drive issue

I took my hard drive from my computer and put if in an external hard drive casing after the computer refused to come on. It worked for me alright until I was using it one night and it fell not so hard. it doesn't show anymore when I put it in a computer. how do I get my things back or fix the problem?

Hi there djfortunegh,

Hard drives are really vulnerable to hits/shocks.
I believe that the drive is physically damaged and if you need the data, you will need to contact a data recovery company.

Of course, you can try using some data recovery tool. Yet, it would most probably not help.
