I have a WD Scorpio Blue 320 Gb from a laptop that died a couple months ago and I have been accessing the files on it via a SATA to USB adapter and an AC to DC power adaptor, but the other day the cord on the power adaptor got really hot then it blew a capacitor, so I got a new adaptor thinking it was a short in the wire or something, but when I plugged it in it did it again...(blew the capacitor in the adaptor) Any idea what could be causing this/how I can get my hard drive working again? (Also, if I plug the HDD in internally on my desktop it doesn't recognize it)
Thanks!
