Hard drive making rattling noise?

My hard drive is making a rattling noise and it's getting more noticeable by the day. I have researched noises of dying hard drives online but it doesn't sound the same as them. It's a Seagate 2tb and I have only had it for 2 years... I think it's internal as I have tried to hold it still from vibrations against the case but it doesn't go away. Thanks in advance.

Any kind of change in noise in a hard drive is a bad sign. Replace it ASAP.

also i wouldn't continue to run your computer until your new drive arrives. You'll risk losing its contents.

Sorry to hear you're running into noise issues here. You'll want to back your data up if possible, as soon as possible. A good backup strategy takes potential hard drive issues from being a situation of losing your data, to just being a situation of replacing it with a new drive.
