Hi everyone!
I used to read this forum to solve my problems. And it helps me a lot.
this is very first time I'm writing for my problem. Because I was unable to detect my problem.
I dont know where to post this thread PSU or Storage.
So, very recently my HDD was giving me an error,
"BOOT FAILURE; INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER."
First I thought the problem is may be my boot manager is missing or corrupted anyhow.
Then I thought If I install Windows again then it may will be solved. But When I went to setup windows I saw there is no HDD detected. Then I checked my HDD and I found its not working.
I restarted my PC. Nothing's working. And I keep restarting suddenly HDD got power and started working like before. But wen I shut down the computer and tried to Start again after a while the massage appeases again. I talked to some IT guys, some of them are telling me that its my HDD fault and some of them are telling me that my PSU is the main culprit. Cause my PSU damages my HDD. Oh, I forgot to tell you that already my HDD is gone totally dead. Then I brought a new Toshiba 1TB HDD and its working fine.
I used to use "Defraggler" to monitor my HDD. But sometimes it shows me the temperature and HDD lifetime and sometimes it doesn't. Which used to happen on my previous HDD ( Which one gone dead. Hitachi 1TB 7200 rpm). I install a newer version of defraggler and still it happens. I mean sometimes it shows me the temperature and health and sometimes it doesn't.
Cant understand why its happening with my new HDD? when I used Defraggler over 4 years.
So now I want to know is there any issue with my PSU or HDD. I changed the SATA cable, changed the power cable. I'm afraid if my PSU is faulty then it may damage my new HDD again. So before it damage my HDD is there any solution to prevent?
My specs are

OS : Windows 8.1 Pro x64
CPU : AMD FX 6300
MoBo : Gigabyte m78s2p
GPU : ATI Radeon HD 7730
HDD : Toshiba 1TB 7200 rpm (Right now I'm using this one.)
RAM : 6GB DDR3 1333Mhz
PSU : ThermalTake Lite 450V

So guys plz anyone answer me is there any way to check my PSU to check that its giving the power to my HDD properly?

I'm not very good at English so is there any problem to understand what I meant to tell you then please ask me..
Thanks guys...

Hi there Abdujjaher Milon,

Have tried changing the SATA port? In case you haven't, you can do so and re-test the drive. Another thing you can try is to test the drive with some other HDD testing tool and see whether you will get similar results.

Apart from that, a faulty PSU could definitely damage the other components of your system. Unfortunately, the easiest way so see whether this is the case is to just borrow a PSU from somebody, install it on your system and see whether the issues persist.
There are some tutorials on how to test your PSU the internet as well. Though, most of them require some extra tools. Check this out: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/power-supply-test-multimeter.htm

Dear, D_Know_WD

First of all thanks to reply my thread and extremely sorry to late response.
Well, as you said "Have I tried changing the SATA port?"
Yes I did. And I checked my HDD in another PC, unfortunately my HDD is totally dead with all of my data. Dead means it doesn't get any power. tried in several PC or PSU. Same result.

Ok then, I assume that my HDD is gone and replace it with a new one. And almost three day its working fine for me.. So, now you may tell me that Ofcourse your HDD was faulty and your PSU is OK.
But sometimes Piriforms's Defraggler doesn't show the temperature and sometimes it shows. So can u tell me where is the problem is? I already Install a newer version. But other temperature measuring software showing the temperature without any trouble. Is there any relation that Degraggler wont show temperature for PSU's trouble?

And you told me to manually test the PSU, I'm extremely sorry, Its not possible for me to check the PSU manually, cause I dont have any tools or multimeter. So is there any software who can automatically measure the voltage or ampere or it can find any error?

Do you have some other issues like freezes, lags, etc.?
You can perform some overall system stress test. If your system crashes, then it is possible that your PSU is faulty.
In my view, in case you have a faulty PSU, you should experience other issues as well(not only missing temps on the HDD).

I got that you have tried different cables and ports with your already dead HDD. But have you tried those with your new one?(with re-testing to see whether you will get temps)

Dear,
D_Know_WD

Yes I did perform some overall system stress test. And its perfectly running for me. No lags, no freezes nothing at all.
Only sometimes missing the temps.
As I said earlier other temps measuring software is working fine.
So, should I worry about that?

And thanks a lot for replying me.
Cheers Bro.

Soryy, brother!
Couldn't reply u earlier. Because I'm sooooo sick. Having heavy cough! Cant do anything, even talk, sleep nothing...

And yes, its only one issue i'm facing. As u said ofcourse I'm keeping an eye on to my HDD.
So, is there any good apps to monitor my HDD? Like temps, health etc...
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

And thanks for everything..
Again, A huge thanks mate...
