I was naming my 7 hard drives... and something happened when the "You will need to provide administrator to rename the drive" pop up, popped up. I had many pages open at the time and named other hard drive before realising that drive had a shortened name.

With one of them, I can only give it a maximum of 11 characters... the rest can get 32 characters. No matter what I do I can't give it a name of more that 11 characters.

How do I fit it like the other drives.

You were asked for file system (not drive model).
On Fat32 volumes you're limited to 11 characters for volume label.
On NTFS volumes you have 32 characters for volume label.
I believe I have 4 Samsung EVO 870 SATA's... but one of them, I can only give it 11 characters for volume label... the rest can have 32.

Do you understand, what file system is?

Well - that's the reason, why you're limited to 11 characters.
Format drive to NTFS file system.

Formatting erases all data from the drive.
Copy data to some other drive before formatting. Then copy back.
Thanks for this information. I've learnt a little.

Which is better "exFAT" or "NTFS"?
