Recently when i turn on my laptop or when i shut off, the hard drive accessed icon (some LED indicator on the sides of my laptop) blinks for a while then just stops, it turns off and my laptop screen just hangs there. Other icons are still on, such as screen/wifi will stay on, the only way for me to turn off is to hold on power button as there is nothing i can do.

It happens every now and then, but the frequency of it happening is increasing. Just now i was in the middle of gaming and the hard drive accessed icon just turn off and my screen just froze there.

What can i do to fix this issue ?

I am currently using asus S46CB that i have never dropped before, currently using Windows 10.

Hard drive icon i am talking about:

That doesn't provide enough info.
I see that there are many 'Critical errors' which is not a good sign, specially 'Disk' errors (Event ID 11)
Open 'Event Viewer', on the left pane expand 'Windows Logs', click 'Applications' and on the right pane click on 'Filter current log...' and on the 'Filter current log...' select 'Critical' then click OK.
When you select any error in the top middle pane there will be a description of that error on the bottom middle pane.
Look for critical errors under 'System'
Pay attention to 'Event ID', 'Source', and 'Exception code'
