Hello guys, so I've recieved all of my components exactly a week ago, but still haven't had a chance to run the pc properly. First it took me 2 days to build it, I was really dedicated to it and finally finished saturday when I realize I'm missing a DVI cable for my gpu. So I went thru the trouble of 5 days finding the correct cable that fits both my monitor and my gpu and today when I found it I still can't run the pc.
On monitor it says "map: cannot find required map name" so I went into bios and checked things out.. It appears it doesn't detect any SATAs.
I have one thing to point out and that is that I'm using my old HDD (Western Digital Blue 3200AAKS) and it's sata.. I wonder if there is a solution to this problem, or is my HDD dead forever?

Disconnect and reconnect the sata cable from the drive and the motherboard.
Also, Your BIOS may be set to a SATA configuration that's causing the issue. AHCI is one option you can try and works with most SSD's however sometimes older drives prefer the IDE mode.

Try to change that setting and see if your BIOS detects your drive after that and reconnecting the cable.
If you still get nothing then I say the drive is no longer functional.
