Hard Drive not detected but working?

Hello community,

I have a SSD in my HP Elitebook 820 G1 laptop. On startup, it brings up diagnostics for the memory and hard drive. These tests pass. Then, it wants to boot from a Network even though the boot sequence has the SSD at the top of the list. I have reseated the SSD, reset BIOS, and everything else I could think of to try and fix the issue.

I guess the SSD is going bad even though it passes the tests?

Stupid thing to say by me but did you format the ssd in windows from disk manager?

No, I have an image that is pushed to all of my hard drives from an SCCM server. I have other drives with the same image.

Do you have any other computer in hand? If yes check the ssd on that,if no then RMA it seeming its new

I do. Other drives work in the machine.

Maybe your mobo to ssd connection is bad it is not picking up the pins? And is it a pcie ssd,m.2?try clean the port were your ssd is seated
