I would agree with popatim. You really need to provide some more information on the issue you are facing.
Is this a primary(OS) or secondary drive?
Have you checked if it is recognized by BIOS and Disk Management?
In case it is not, you may need to attach it with different cables(SATA and power ones) to another SATA port.
If the drive is a secondary one and it is recognized by Disk Management, you may need to initialize -> partition & format.
