If your drive is not detected in BIOS, then check
- all drive connections (data and power),
if sata port is enabled in BIOS,
if some other device like M.2 drive is not disabling sata ports.
If the drive is still not being detected, it just might be dead.
Anyway - if you change motherboard, then be ready, that you'll need to reinstall OS also.
What was the previous motherboard btw?
Usually to make it work without re-installation you'd have to:
- set boot mode and sata controller settings same as on old motherboard and
reinstall motherboard drivers
and fix windows activation.
But sometimes re-installation is the only option to fix all the possible issues.
