hard drive not reading and not formatable

when I clicked my hard drive it says hard driv needs formatting and when I formate it another dialogue box appear saying window can't compelet formatting. please help

Looks like that drive may have failed -- if so it will have to be replaced.

To ascertain it's health & condition, test it with SeaTools for Windows:
