Hard drive not reponding

I have a 2 gig WD my passport and im having trouble when i try and open it it comes up saying
F:/is not accessible
The parameter is incorrect.

Please help as I have only had it for approx 3 months.

download and run the WD diagnostic software then when it fails call them for a warranty return.
