Hard drive not shown in Win10 Setup

Ive had an hp 15 notebook for about a year or two now and the main issue I've been having with it is that at least every few months I'm greeted with a dreaded blue screen either while working or just browsing and i have to reinstall over and over but this time my hard drive isn't even showing up in the usual list of drivers on where to install i wanted a full clean wipe of Windows from this install but now I can't even see my primary drive and is there any way of fixing these random ass Windows 10 failures Microsoft still haven't properly delt with?

sounds like you might have a hard drive failure or the hard drive cable is loose.

this can cause your blue screens and other issues your are blaming on windows when its a hardware issue not a software issue.

What would be the best way to fix this whole situation if was just the hard drive that's been giving me trouble? Would it have to be replaced? Or if it's just a loose cable can I do it myself?
