Hard drive not working after small drop

Hi, so my hdd stopped working aka not being detected by my pc after i accidentally dropped it. The drop wasn't high, just less a couple inches and it dropped on its side. While the pc was booting i never heard any clicking sounds, just an inconsistent humming.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

clicking sounds are the heads moving
low level humming is the platters spinning.
the heads may be stuck/damaged and unable to move, hence no clicks.

Is this an external drive?
Was it running when it was dropped?
