Recently I built a new pc. I put a hard drive of 1 TB. I make 5 partitions of it
1) 100 GB(approx) for windows files
2) 100 GB for multimedia files like movies or songs
3) 200 GB for softwares.
4) 75 GB reserved for extra
5) 450 GB for my files like games, etc.

Now I have realised that 200 GB for softwares is much more for it. Now I want to give only 50 GB for it. And increase the space of my 5th partition for my games. I have installed Windows 8.1 pro. Help me how to do that.

Disk management is your solution. Windows comes with a built in disk manager that allows you to shrink, extend, format and even wipe an entire disk. This tool is normally found under administrative tools in Control Panel. With Windows 8 you should be able to type disk into the search and have it come up. If not, type disk management or computer management (With windows 7 and I believe 8 as well, it is accessible from the Computer Management window). Go to the 200gb partition, right click and select shrink. You can then click on any other partition and select extend, thus adding the newly unpartitioned space to that partition, or you can create another partition by right clicking on the newly available unpartitioned space.

I would recommend running Disk Defragmenter after this operation, as in the process of shrinking the partition, windows may have to move some of the files so as to not delete them.
