Hard drive problem?

Hello,
Windows 7 will not re-install to any of my hard drives; also. Windows 7 will not boot unless I use use a software aide from my Hiren's Boot CD. What is wrong? This condition occurred after a power failure. Other computer operating system operations appear to be normal.

What is stopping you from installing windows? does the install process not find any drives or is it crashing?

Overall power fail could mean anything has fried.

You might want to wipe your drive also. Diskpart's clean command should do it. At the very least, run a chkdsk on it.
