Hard drive problem

Hello
I am krishna, i have a problem with my hard disk. I updated the drivers and windows updates. The system got restart and showed as diagnosing, after that it showed scanning and repairing drive. It shiwed the same for a few hours. I shut the power off and switched On. Then it showed as "There is a problem with the hard drive".
I shut the power off again and turned back on then it showed as some PXE-E61 media test failed check cable............. I took hard drive out and connect to another cpu as second hard disk. It is detecting but not showing the data.

Pls help me i am a small time photographer. I did a b'day program and the photos videos are in that hard disk.

Pls tell me how to make it work again. It is seagate hard disk and 6 yrs old hard drive. The last OS is win8.1

6 years old drive ? Maybe its time for new drive ..

I agree, it is time to buy a new hard drive, to recover the data, you should go to a tech shop or contact someone skilled in recovery to recover the photos for you.

Or if your damaged drive is an OS drive and not a primary data drive, then you just install a new drive and done.
You can also backup the data from the old drive to new drive you've installed.
