Hard drive problem

I have 2 hard drives showing up but only the 118 GB one is being used, and i cant figure out how to use the second hard drive "New volume (E" which is 1.81 TB, I have looked everywhere but cant seem to word it right to find a solution.

Is your second drive recognized by My Computer and how?

My suggestion would be to go to Disk Management and post a screenshot of it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=yJBpcU
Is this a new drive? You may just need to Initialize ->Partition & Format it.

It would be really nice to provide some more information.

And the drive has been there since i bought the computer.

The drive looks good under Disk Management. It should appear as E: under My Computer. Is it recognized over there?

The drive is accessible right?
You should be able to access it and store some data over there.
You can start with just moving music, pictures, videos over there. You can do so with simple drag and drop (copy/paste).
As for your applications, you will need to uninstall them and reinstall them back on your E: drive. During the installation process, you will be asked where do you want to install the specific tool.

You have two separate, physical drives. So, you can expect that data after one of the drive is filled up, all the data would go to your secondary one.
