Hard Drive Problem

external hard drive is recognized but not showing in my computer or disk management

Most operating systems, install setup and assign drive letter automatically, but it may not have done this for you.

In comp management, go to storage, you should see the drive there. Right click on it and assign a drive letter to it.

Thanks, Boxa786, but it's not showing in disk management or my computer. It is listed under USB devices as Mass Storage Device, no drive association and stating location 0
