Hard drive renaming

...Ok, quick question. I just installed WindowsXP, and everything (so far) has been working great, but the installation has named my hard drive E: instaed of the usual C: which is now my Zip drive. My question is, how do I change my hard drive name to C: and the Zip drive to E: ?
As always, your insight is appreciated.

Go to control panel then Administrative tools then computer management then disk managment that should work. otherwise try going to device manager and going to the drive and changing it's letter.

the time i did try out xp i never had that problem. if it's recognizing your zip drive before your hdd then a jumper isn't set or cable isn't connected right. also i would think it's the same as w2k, you cannot change the drive letter of your boot drive (whichever drive/partition the system is on).

I didn't either but i also don't think it would matter the order of the drives unless it bothers you that much.

...ok, all better now. I believe the problem was that when I installed the OS I had the Zip drive already connected to the USB port, which caused the system to recognize the Zip fist instead of the IDE. Renaming the drive for the Zip was fairly easy, but in order to rename the Hard Disk, I had to format and then reinstall the OS (with the disconnected this time). Doing this, the OS recognized the HDD as C: like I wanted. Normally this probably wouldn't be a problem, but I'm using Maya which requires the license file to be on the C: drive. Thanx all....
