Hard Drive Screws?

Hello,

I am going to be purchasing a 3.5 inch 1tb wd blue hard drive in the next few days, and I was wondering if I will need screws to install it. My case comes with screws for SSDs, but not for harddrives. Are they the same thing? The Amazon listing for the HDD says it does not include screws. Are there certain hard drives that come with screws? Whats the easiest way to get them? I don't really want to buy a giant pack of them.

My case is a cooler master q300l

If your HDD is a retail model (in a package) it should include a small packet of 4-5 screws, although pretty much every case that I've ever bought also included a ton of extra screws. I don't recall that any of my recent SSD retail packages included screws though...

3.5" HDDs use 6-32 x 1/4" screws and you will need 4. SSDs and optical drives use M3 size usually 4mm length but that can vary in length a little, I've seen them from 3mm to 5mm.

I've seen them at places like Ace Hardware and the Home Depot should have them in small packages if they don't come with your drive.
