Hard drive shows up in Bios, but not in Windows

Running Windows 7 home prem edition. Currently in my bios I can see the hard drive installed on sata port 4, however when I go into windows I don't see the hard drive listed at all.

Hard drive Seagate Barricuda 7200 rpm 1TB

During windows install I just left the ssd connected, then after I got the computer up and running I plugged in the sata cable for the 7200 hd. Anybody have any clue of what I may be doing wrong or what to check. I've searched through a few topics here but can't find an answer thus far.

Edit: So in disk management it does show up, how do I set this up as a secondary hard drive for my pc through this?

Did you format the HDD that isn't showing up? If it was a brand new drive, it might not have been formatted and I don't think Windows would detect it as a usable drive.

Since you know how to get into disk management, just format it clean... If you got stuff that you need on that drive then I suggest plugging into another computer and move data out, also it could be a driver issue so try to like install driver, go to device manager and try to install it from there...

Found a guide, wizard didn't initialize so i had to do new logic drive got it running sorry for the post guys!

Heck yeahh, and just got my old gfx card to work to tide me over for the time being w00t!
