Hard Drive Solder on Spindle?

Just wondering if this residue will affect it at all? I won't be able to test it out for another two weeks, and wonder if it will require RMA? Never really encountered this since all of my other HDD's have had some kind of material covering this area.

Not sure if that is solder, but that in not the spindle. It is a cover or seal. The spindle and discs are sealed inside to keep out dust, etc. That stuff, solder or not, may be just to ensure the cover will stay there.
