This next is the only major change I've made insofar as installations (nothing new besides it):

The time when I first detected this was 2 months ago when I removed my Avast 1 year trial and installed AVG free pro trial for a month (December), but disregarded it as I go through and add/remove a lot of files as a tech/gamer.

I then removed AVG when the Trial was up and installed Avast again under a new email address, and I noticed 2 weeks later that 629 out of a maximum of 685 gigabytes is full on my Hard Disk Drive.

When measured all of the folders in Computer -> C I came up with 400 something Gigabytes as per my previous note 2-3 months ago.

Subtracting this amount from the used 629 came up with a 163 gigabyte discrepancy.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Perhaps, however this is a recent occurence. The only changes are the Antivirus'. Why would it change so quickly now, as opposed to the 3 years that I've had this PC?

Hi there Anonevol,

Did the antivirus scan detect anything? If it did, the system may have created some "virus free" restore point. Though, I'm not a 100% sure.
Apart from that, I would also say that you should adjust your System Restore settings.

I clean my PC on a daily basis. I haven't had issues with virus' in quite some time due to my habits, and antivirus. Scans come up with nothing. As previously aformentioned, this issue is recent, and mind boggling to me.
