Hard Drive to Hard Drive Transfer

Hey all, I have just installed a new hard drive onto my system as my old one is slow and may die soon, is there anyway of moving everything such as boot drive and windows onto this new drive, I have seen some software but they all cost a lot of money, Even if moving windows cant be done I would like everything else onto this new drive, I pretty much wanna just drag all the file from my current HHD to my new one.

Please don't migrate the OS from the old drive to the new, only leads to hair pulling. I would advise on formatting the OS drive of the current HDD, then removing it and replacing with the fresh HDD, create partitions as necessary when installing OS onto new HDD and then use an adapter to migrate data off older HDD to new HDD partitions.
