I have been planning a budget build for a while now and I am wondering if I can move the internal hard drive from my current pc into the pc i will build without major consequences. The pc I have has a Hitachi HUS724030ALE641.
I don't care about transferring the OS really, just saving some money by not getting a fresh hard drive for a budget build. I use Windows 10 Home 64 bit
The physical drive is fine.
If it works OK, it is no different than buying a new one off the shelf.
What OS. The answer is maybe. The drivers for the new MB will be different, and sometimes you end up with issues even if you get the right drivers, You'd be better off backing up any data and doing a fresh install of the OS
