this is also happening to a brand new SSD so i dont think the hdd is dead.
The issue occurs when the sata data cable is plugged in the hard drive would not be detected and would not even spin up. However when the the data cable is unplugged with the power cable left on there it would spin up as I could hear it and feel it spinning.
The SSD would feel warm like it's on but it isnt being detected with both cables in?
