Hey!

I would like to upgrade my current 1Tb HDD, but budget is limited to ~$100.

1) could I keep my HDD as general storage and add the SSD to the system in order to run the OS and games out of?

2) if the above set up was viable, would it be recommended? what sort of problems/limitations should I expect? in all my computer carrier I have only worked on systems that had one hardrive, so this is unfamiliar territory to me.

I am trying to decide if I should get a much faster 1Tb HDD or a MUCH MUCH 500Gb SSD.

I got a 760gm-p23 mb and in looking for upgrade options at https://ssd.userbenchmark.com I found a list of “form factors” that I was unfamiliar with (2.5, m.2, mSATA).

The ONLY PCIe slot in my MB is being used by my video card, so that form factor isn’t an option to me.

In other computer parts websites, I have come across SATA III. I am assuming that this is the form factor I’ll have to go with right?

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my questions, I really apreciate it.
