I am planning to upgrade my pc and I will be changing my motherboard CPU and storage. I am going to use the m.2 that I buy as my boot drive and my pre existing hard drive for storage. However the drive that I will be using for storage is the one that is currently in my pc and has a copy of Windows on it. Is there any way that I can still use that drive for storage even though it has windows on it?

Solution
install your new m.2 drive install windows on it put the old drive in delete windows off the old drive done you are not going to need it.
