Hello,
What is the difference between SATA hard drive and Solid state hard drive

A solid state drive has no moving parts, which gives it a very fast seek speeds. Seek speed is how long it takes for the hard drive to find particular sector on the disk. Since a normal sata drive has a spinning plater it takes more time to find the particular sector.

What is the difference between a "hard drive" and a "solid state hard drive"? One is mechanical (spinning platter, moving arms) while the SSD is all electronic, and is faster and more expensive as a result.

Both can be "SATA", which is how they are attached to and communicate with the motherboard.

They both do the same purpose right?Only one is faster and more expensive.
