Hard drive

Hello,
I have a dell optiplex and want to install a second harddrive it is a western 2TB. My computer does not show the hard drive.Please help

You have power and SATA or IDE cable both connected? Is it SATA or IDE I guess is the first question. Also, does it show up during boot or in the BIOS and just not in Windows?

Oh, and what OS are you running?

Check if shown in control panel/administrative tools/computer management/storage/disk management, if shown there allocate and assign drive letter.
